The Stiga A-1500 is perfect for smaller to medium sized gardens and can handle a lawn of up to 1,500m2 in two cutting cycles per day.
Installation
Stiga autonomous robot mowers are cable-free and are operated through the STIGA.GO App. The installation is virtual and the working perimeter of the robot is outlined and stored through the app – this can be changed at any time.
Please note, a site visit is usually required ahead of installation to check that an autonomous Stiga robot will meet your requirements.
To check the 4G and satellite signal strength around your garden, please download the STIGA.GO App and follow the instructions. The App can be found in the usual place you download your App’s from.
Navigation
Navigation of the Stiga robot mower works through a signal receiver that finds and tracks satellites and communicates to the base and robot via 4G. The use of GPS and 4G signal allows for accurate cutting and set-up, operation and changes by the STIGA.GO App.
The Active Guidance System is patented technology that means the robot intelligently memories GPS signal quality at different points in your garden at different times of the day to determine when and where to cut and keep in contact with its base through a 4G signal.
The Stiga autonomous robot knows exactly where, when and how to cut your lawn to keep it healthy and ensure the robot does not lose signal.
The robot knows where it stopped cutting on your lawn when it needs to recharge and will restart again where if left off.
No boundary wire is required and installing your robot is done via the STIGA.GO App allowing for full remote control.
Working Area
The Stiga A-1500 is designed for a maximum working area of 1,500m2 and created to look after your lawn in 2 cycles per day – allowing time between cuts for the grass to recover.
Once cutting is complete the robot will return to the charging base and will recharge ahead of the next cutting cycle.
Powered by a 5Ah Stiga ePower batteries means the robot last longer, even when working in larger areas.
When ready to recharge, the machine will return to the docking station via the automatic short path function.
Cutting Deck
With a cutting width of 18cm and cutting height range from 20 – 60mm.
The cutting height is adjusted electronically.
4 pivoting blades working at a speed of 2850 rpm allows for the perfect cut and can work at slopes of up to 24 degrees (45%).
Please note a small area around your boundary may still require additional cutting – please contact us for more information.
Obstacles and Organised Cut
Obstacle detection sensors ensures the robot can navigate around small obstacles (e.g. poles).
The robot can cut in 4 different cutting patterns. 1) North – South 2) East – West 3) ‘Chessboard’ (Parallel N-S & Parallel E-W) 4) Dense Grid (Like Chessboard but each times the robot starts in the zone the starting angle is rotated by 45 degrees to the last cut).
Safety Features
The Stiga autonomous robots have been designed with safety at their heart.
Protection is given to ensure there is safety from the blades under the robot. Sensors located on the robot ensures the blades will stop if the mower is lifted.
Theft alerts will also notify you via the app if the mower has been moved a certain distance from your garden – this can be set on the app.
Stiga App
Explore the app in-depth at your convenience, adding settings for different cutting heights and cutting zones, stay-away times or exclusion zones when needed. For optimum lawn health, activate the grass care cutting path function to automatically alternate mow patterns.
Set stay-away times can be included and your STIGA A-1500 will learn exactly when and where it’s convenient to mow.
Certain features are not available as standard on this model through the App (such as obstacle notification and smart cutting height), however there are upgrade options.
Extra Information
*5-year warranty – terms and conditions apply, including annual service – including software upgrades. A minimum of one battery charge during the winter is required to maintain warranty.
**Technology of the robot is based on data communication between the Stiga Cloud and the robot. Good satellite and 4G signal are required in the area that the mower will be installed.
Please note, the satellite receiver may need to be attached to an outbuilding or home to gain better signal. This must be done by a qualified expert and prior to installation. Failure to do so may incur additional costs and delays. This will be discussed at your site visit.
